Graham the Ref

OUR referee for this Saturday's game has already taken charge of an Argyle fixture this season.

Graham Salisbury, a Football League referee of 13 seasons, was the man in the middle when Argyle played Birmingham City in the Capital One Cup in August. Argyle lost game 3-2 after extra time, while Mr Salisbury cautioned four players; three from The Blues, and Lewis Alessandra for Argyle. He also awarded City a penalty in that game.

Graham has officiated 14 games this season, issuing 39 yellow card and one red. The red card was for Rhys Williams of Middlesbrough, who was dismissed in a lively 3-3 draw with Bournemouth in September. During that game Mr Salisbury gave two penalties - half of his total for the season so far.

Before Birmingham, Mr Salisbury's previous two appointments involving Argyle were the 1-1 draw with Torquay on Boxing Day last season, and the 3-1 defeat at West Bromwich Albion in September 2009.
