TOPPIE Obadeyi will bring much-needed thrust to Argyle’s left-hand side, says manager John Sheridan.
The on-loan Bury winger made his debut as a substitute at Lincoln City in the FA Cup last week and will be looking to frank that impressive start to life as a Pilgrim when Argyle visit York City in League 2 on Saturday.John said: “When I first came in last season, I think everyone would agree, down the left side, we were very strong, with [Jason] Banton, [Joe] Bryan, and Baz [Onsimor Bhasera], who were all very, very quick players and got us 30-40 yards up the pitch very quickly.
“I think we’ve missed that a little bit this year, but I think Toppie is that kind of player. You could see him in bits when he came on last Saturday; he is very direct and quick – one of the quickest players I’ve coached.
“He will give us that extra bit of pace we have been looking for.”
Toppie is 11/4 to score anytime for Argyle at York with Sky Bet and if you open an account and deposit before the end of November, Argyle will get a £10 bonus. Join Now!
