Davies In Charge

REFEREE Andy Davies will take charge of Saturday's Sky Bet League 2 clash with Bristol Rovers.

Davies, now in his second season as a Football League referee, has taken charge of matches involving Argyle only twice, both of which were at Home Park.

On his first trip, on September 1, 2012, the Pilgrims beat Northampton Town 3-2. In what was only Davies' second Football League appointment, he showed just one yellow card, for Alex MacDonald.

He next visited back in Marc, for a dour 0-0 draw with Bradford City. On this occasion, he booked three players; Argyle's Max Blanchard and Guy Branston and City's Ricky Ravenhill.

Saturday will mark Davies' first meeting with Bristol Rovers.

So far this season, he has taken charge of four fixtures, showing 17 yellow cards and one red; to Northampton's Chris Hackett. He has also awarded two penalty kicks.
