Swindon Away in JPT
7th September 2013
WE have been drawn away to Swindon Town in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
We will visit the County Ground in the week beginning Monday, October 7.Further details, including ticketing and travel information to follow.
Argyle manager John Sheridan welcomed the Pilgrims’ progress in the competition after this week’s first-round penalty shoot-out victory at Cheltenham.
He said: “Financially, it’s very good and I think it’s the best chance that some of our players will get to play in a cup final. We have got to be realistic – we are not going to get to the FA Cup final but this is a competition we can win.
“And it is a great day out. I won it at Chesterfield. It was a great occasion and everyone’ll remember it for a long time. To go and win a cup final, no matter what it is, is always good.
“But it’s tough to get there. You have got to beat teams who are in a higher division than you are and sometimes it’s the luck of the draw.”
“There’s nothing wrong in winning football matches so we need to take it very seriously now.”
