Roger In The Middle

ROGER East is the man in charge of Saturday’s Devon Derby between Argyle and Exeter.

As well as Premier League experience under his belt, Roger has also officiated in an FA Cup final, an FA Community Shield match, and a League One play-off final.

Roger, who normally referees in the Premier League or Championship, officiated one Argyle game last season, the 1-1 draw to neighbours Torquay United at Plainmoor. In that game, he awarded Reuben Reid a penalty, which was duly converted.

The Wiltshire-born ref officiated 29 games last season, showing 101 yellow cards, and issuing only two red cards. Roger also awarded four penalties during last season’s campaign.

This will be his first time back at Home Park since Plymouth exited the JPT at the hands of Oxford United in 201. On that occasions we lost 3-1 on penalties, finishing a man down, after Durrell Berry had received his marching orders.
