Cheltenham u-18's 0 Plymouth Argyle 4

Argyle's youngsters recorded their third consecutive South West Youth Alliance League victory as they had this game won by the interval after scoring all four goals at Quat Goose Lane.

The young Pilgrims took a 17th minute lead when Solomon Wheatley's fierce drive flew in to the home goal from 20 yards.

It was 2-0, six minutes later, as Ethan Stark burst in to the area only to be sent tumbling by the Cheltenham goalkeeper and Nathan Summers confidently converted his third consecutive spot-kick.

Argyle were awarded a second penalty, on 33 minutes, when Josh Hutchinson was illegally halted by a combination of the 'keeper and a defender but this time it was Hutchinson who picked himself up to score from the spot.

The scoring was completed five minutes before the interval when River Allen's shot came back off the post for Will Sargent to control the ball before firing home his first Youth Alliance goal from 10 yards.

Argyle had to play up the slope and against the wind in the second half but they still controlled the game and could have added to their tally but Stark failed to make the most of their best chance.
