Steve the Ref
24th February 2014
STEVE Bratt will take charge of Argyle for the second time this season when we meet Fleetwood Town on Tuesday night.
Steve was in charge when we beat Welling United 3-1 in the FA Cup with Budweiser earlier in the season. It was his third time officiating Argyle. He was the referee for our 2-1 defeat at Oxford United at the beginning of last season, cautioning Onismor Bhasera, Durrell Berry and Robbie Williams in the process. His first visit to Home Park ended with Argyle the 2-1 victors against Queens Park Rangers. That game saw Mr Bratt issue ten yellow cards, including seven to the opposition. He also awarded a last-minute penalty, from which Sylvan Ebanks-Blake scored the winner. Mikele Leigertwood was also sent off following the goal.
This season, Steve has taken charge of thirteen games, issuing only 22 yellow cards. He has sent off one player - a straight red for Portsmouth's David Connolly - and given two penalties. The four bookings issued in our game with Welling was the most he has brandished in one game all season. All cards were shown to Welling players.
