Knock Knock...

THE Argyle treatment room has been a little busier this week than has recently been necessary...

...but optimism still abounds despite knocks to one or two of John Sheridan’s squad.

Matt Parsons suffered an injury setback in a behind closed doors fixture against Yeovil and continues to struggle, while fellow defenders Maxime Blanchard and Durrell Berry have also been in the wars.

Berry will be out for three weeks or so, but the  gaffer remains hopeful on the fitness of the remainder.

Said John: “Max has had a knock, but he’s trained so we’ll assess him. (Matt Parsons) trained Wednesday and it caused a little aggravation, so we’ll see how a couple of days rest do.

“There’s one or two little knocks. When a player is injured, he’s no good to me. I have to try and focus on what I‘ve got. Whoever is fit is who I worry about, but we’ve got one or two little knocks, and they have got until Saturday, and we’ll see how they get on with a little bit of treatment.”

The good news emanating from the Fizz’s room is that long-term absentees Marvin Morgan and Matt Lecointe are upping their training, with Morgan in particular getting closer to a first-team return.

“Marvin’s training all the time, he’s probably 3 weeks away, same with Durrell,” said John.
