Lee the Ref
23rd January 2014
LEE Collins will be the man in charge of Saturday’s home clash against Cheltenham Town this weekend.
The last time Mr Collins officiated Argyle, he gave Conor Hourihane two yellow cards within the first nine minutes of our FA Cup clash away to Dorchester Town in 2012; a game Argyle lost 1-0.Prior to that, Lee took charge of Argyle’s home defeat to Crewe Alexandra back in 2011. He issued no cards of any colour during the game, which Alex won 1-0 thanks to a Shaun Miller goal.
So far this season, Mr Collins has shown a total of 35 yellow cards, two reds, and has pointed to the penalty spot a total of six times over the course of 17 games. The last game Lee officiated was earlier this month in a League 1 clash, where Stevenage played out a 2-0 win over Swindon Town, where he issued three yellow cards.
With the young referee from Surrey only featuring in two games for Argyle, could our luck change when Argyle pick up some potential winnings when we take Cheltenham to the races?
