It's Mellor Time

DEFENDER Kelvin Mellor has become John Sheridan’s sixth signing of the summer.

The right back, 23, has signed a two-year deal after being released by Sky Bet League 1 side Crewe Alexandra at the end of the 2013-14 season.

He played 91 times for Crewe in a career that spanned six years, scoring two goals.

Kelvin was part of the Alex side that beat Cheltenham Town in the 2011-12 play-off final, which saw Crewe gain promotion back into the third tier of English football.

He is the latest recruit to the Pilgrims’ squad following the signings of Lee Cox, Peter Hartley, Deane Smalley, Reuben Reid and Carl McHugh, who have all put pen to paper during the close season.

Welcome to Home Park, Kelvin.
