Like Watching Argyle

THE Green Army will hope that seeing Argyle in action away from home next season will be just like watching Brazil.

The Pilgrims have opted for an all-yellow PUMA away kit for the 2014-15 Sky Bet League 2 season. With the green piping on a round collar, the shirt bears a striking similarity to that favoured by the Verde-Amarela and currently being worn in Brazil.

The shirt, which carries the company logo of new sponsors LTC Powered Access, is complimented by PUMA shorts and socks in a matching shade.

Yellow has proved a popular away option with Argyle fans in the past. Peter Shilton’s Nearly Men of 1993-94 wore it on their travels, and it was the on-the-road choice in 2007-08, when the Pilgrims’ had their best season in the last quarter of a century.

It was also the colour worn on that memorable last-match-of-the-season at Rochdale just two seasons ago, when John Sheridan steered Argyle to Football League survival in agonising and dramatic fashion.

The kits will be delivered to Home Park just as soon as they are ready, within a few weeks. In the meantime, the club is now happy to take pre-orders and will alert supporters just as soon as the first delivery drops at Home Park.
