Pilgrim Punting - Wycombe

THERE are a multitude of reasons why 1-1 might be a good bet oin Tuesday night at Adams Park.

Argyle travel to Wycombe in Sky Bet League 2 having scored in nine of their last eleven away games, but meet a Wycombe side on a reasonable run of form. They haven't lost in their last six, although three of those have been draws. Factor in that three of the last four meetings between these teams at Adams Park have been drawn - two of them 1-1 - and you start to find a pattern. Sky Bet go 9/2 on the score being 1-1.

In the last eight games The Chairboys have played there have been two goals or less scored in seven of them, so you might fancy a little bet on two goals or less at 4/6. However, Argyle have been involved in some goalfests lately, so you might feel that is a little slim.

Draws might not be ideal for Argyle in their play-off push, however, and one could sense a fairly open game with a confident Wycombe meeting a positive Argyle. So, perhaps if Argyle get a lead and Wycombe come at their, a goal on the break might be a possibility. So why not have a nibble at Argyle at 10/1 to win 2-0? Sky Bet will also give you 9/2 on Argyle to win and there to be under 2.5 goals in the game.

It goes without saying, of course, that we'll stick with our suggestion of Argyle to score the last goal in the game. It didn't happen at Bristol Rovers, but it has come in 14 out of the last 21 games, so still a two in three record over that period. It is 11/10 on it happening this time.

Of course, you can bet on far more than just football with Sky Bet, and this week marks the Cheltenham Festival of horse racing, one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year. The marquee race of the first day of the festival, on Tuesday, is the Champion Hurdle, and you can use your Argyle credentials to make some money by staking some clever money.

At the time of writing, you can get 4/1 on Irish horse Our Conor to win the big race. Like our captain, we can see it sitting in midfield, then, when the crunch comes, leading everyone past the winning post.
