Swans at Home Park

ARGYLE will entertain Barclay’s Premier League opposition in their build-up to the 2014-15 season.

Swansea City visit Home Park for a tea-time fixture on Sunday, July 27, two weeks before the Pilgrims’ Sky Bet League 2 campaign kicks off.

The Swans are one of six opponents lined up for John Sheridan’s side, who have one other home match with league opponents before the season – against League 1 Yeovil Town on Wednesday, July 30.

The Pilgrims’ pre-season campaign begins at Langsford Park on Tuesday, July 15, when they take on Carlsberg South West League Division 1 East side Tavistock.

Four days later, on Saturday, July 19, they visit Calor League Premier Division Weymouth, before a trip along the Devon coast on Wednesday, July 22 to line up against Skrill Premier League new boys Torquay United at Plainmoor.

Their final fixture, a week before the season starts is also against Skrill Premier League opposition in the shape of Hereford United, who Argyle visit on Saturday, August 2.

There are also two reserve-team fixtures lined away to Calor League Premier Division teams: Truro, on Thursday, July 24, and Bideford, on Tuesday, July 29.

The Pilgrims’ Under-18s also have a full programme of away pre-season fixtures lined up, starting at Elburton Villa on Wednesday, July 9 and ending at fellow South West Peninsula League side Saltash United on Saturday, July 26.
