THE magnitude of Saturday's Dockyard Derby against Portsmouth is not lost on Lee Cox
This Saturday marks Argyle’s seventh Armed Services Day - with appropriate opposition in Portsmouth - with the game having some extra spice by virtue of live Sky Sports coverage.Summer signing Cox is more than aware of the military history around the two cities, as well as what the game will mean to both sets of supporters and players. Describing his experiences thus far of large Home Park attendances as “electrifying” , Lee added his voice to those hoping for a bumper crowd this weekend.
“Since I’ve been down here I’ve heard a lot about the city," Lee said. “I’ve seen the memorial on the Hoe. I’m aware of what effect it has on the city.
“The atmosphere is brilliant when it’s full.
“It just helps, it’s like having a 12th man in the pitch. The fans getting behind you every time you attack, it’s brilliant.“
