Lest We Forget

WE will be holding a Remembrance Day minute’s silence before the kick-off of our FA Cup first-round tie with AFC Fylde on Saturday.

After the teams line up, two buglers from the Devonport Royal Naval Volunteer Band will introduce the minute’s silence in which Home Park will stand in tribute to the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Our players will be wearing a special, one-off commemorative T-shirt to further pay their respects to the fallen.

The shirt marks the date and fixture of the game, along with a printed poppy and the poignant legend 'For Our Tomorrow, They Gave Their Today', an adaptation of John Maxwell Edmonds' famous epitaph in the Kohima Allied war cemetery.

Following the match, the shirts will signed by the match-day squad and staff and used to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
