Awful For Alex

UNLUCKY Alex Bray will return to Swansea City next week for a scan to assess the injury sustained on his first Argyle appearance as the Greens won 1-0 at Luton on Saturday.

The 19-year-old Swans’ winger, who joined the Pilgrims on loan last Monday, made his Football League debut as an early second-half substitute at Kenilworth Road.

After picking up an early booking, he boosted the Pilgrims’ efforts before limping out of the action with a knee injury following just 12 minutes of action.

“It’s a crying shame for the kid,” said manager John Sheridan. “Obviously it was his first game for us, and I thought he was really bright. It was innocuous – I think he probably slipped or something.  I don’t really know. Hopefully, he’s okay and we’ll look after him as best we can.

“The introduction of Alex was probably our spark. He came on and had a few little runs and got us going.”
