Summer Fate

DESPITE Argyle’s defeat at Carlisle United, results elsewhere in the last few weeks mean that the Pilgrims remain in the Sky Bet League 2 play-off places...

...with their fate still in their own hands and feet.

However, the visit of Tranmere Rovers – managed by manager John Sheridan’s former Leeds United team-mate Micky Adams – to Home Park next Saturday is now a must-win match for both teams.

“We are very fortunate that we keep getting chances,” said John. “Next week is massive. We have got to win next week against a team who are struggling, still fighting for their lives.

“I know Micky Adams very well and it will be a very hard game but we know, if we win the game, we’ve got a chance.”
