Nathan Leaves
2nd February 2015
NATHAN Thomas has left Home Park.
The 20-year-old winger has been released from his Argyle contract to allow him to pursue other career avenues.Nathan joined Argyle as a free agent, after a successful trial, in December 2013, having previously been on the books of Newcastle United and Sunderland. He made his debut as a second-half substitute in a 1-1 draw at Wimbledon soon after joining, and continued to make cameo roles as a replacement throughout his Argyle tenure.
In total, Thomas appeared for Argyle on 24 occasions, making four starts. His first starting appearance was in a 2-1 win at Newport County last season, in which he laid on the opening goal for Tyler Harvey. He made two appearances from the outset this campaign - the first in a 1-0 defeat at Accrington, followed by the Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Swindon Town. He managed only 34 minutes, though, after suffering an asthma attack.
His only goal for Argyle came as a substitute against Hartlepool United earlier this season, in which he grabbed the second in a 2-0 home victory.
We wish Nathan luck in his future endeavours.
