Yes, O'Connor - Anto's Back...for Keeps

ANTHONY O'Connor has rejoined Argyle - this time on a permanent deal.

The versatile 22-year-old was signed on loan on the eve of the current season, from Blackburn, but his spell at Argyle looked to have ended after he returned to Ewood Park following our 0-0 draw at Southend on January 10.

However, Argyle and Blackburn have come to terms on a deal which allows Anthony to leave the Sky Bet Championship club, with the Pilgrims taking over his contract. Anthony's Argyle deal will last until the end of the current season.

Following season-long loans at fellow Sky Bet League 2 sides Burton Albion and Torquay United, Anthony arrived at Home Park with a reputation as a central defender who was capable of acting as a right back.

However, he soon carved out a niche in the centre of Argyle's midfield, playing a key holding role as the Pilgrims carved out a reputation as being one of the meanest sides in English professional football.

O'Connor went on to make 29 appearances for Argyle, occasionally being asked to display his versatility and fill in at centre-back, full-back or wing-back.
