ARGYLE'S Academy side ended their National League Youth Alliance campaign with a 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers at the University of St Mark & St John.

The young Pilgrims went into the break in the game a goal down, but an excellent run by 16-year-old Sam Ryan laid on the in-form Jason Vincent to score the equalising goal.

"To be fair to Bristol, they haven't been beaten in nine games, so I'm pleased," said Academy Manager Kevin Hodges. "I want to also mention 15-year-old Michael Cooper who has been in goal for the past three games. He made some exceptional saves today."
