NORTHERN Ireland Under-21 international Tom Flanagan has joined Argyle.

The Milton Keynes Dons defender comes to Home Park on a month's loan and goes straight into the Pilgrims' squad for Saturday's Sky Bet League 2 game at Southend United. His loan spell is set to end after the game at Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday, February 10.

Tom, 23, has played nearly 50 times for the League 1 Dons since making his debut nearly four years ago, and enjoyed previous loan spells at three League 1 and 2 clubs.

The 6ft 4in London-born centre-back's first Milton Keynes appearance came in February 2011, after a loan spell at Kettering, and preceded his breakthrough season of 2011-12 during which he made 25 appearances, scoring three times.

The following campaign saw him play for League 2 sides Gillingham and Barnet, including in the Gills' 2-2 draw at Home Park in November 2012.

Last season, he played ten times in League 1, including a two-game loan spell at Stevenage which was cut short when he was recalled to stadium:mk.

Tom will has been assigned the squad number 20 while he is a Pilgrim.
