If Bristol Rovers were a random object they would be... A boomerang. Rovers came back at the first time of asking last season. You may feel it was down to luck that they returned, beating Grimsby Town in a penalty shoot-out at Wembley, but they helped themselves by being in the right shape at the right time, which really gave them a chance to fly. Last season was their first outside the Football League since 1920, so they are now back where they belong, making themselves the first team to bounce straight back from relegation to the Conference since 2005.
