We've Got Gills

ARGYLE have been drawn to play Gillingham at home in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The tie will take place at Home Park during the week commencing August 10.

Gillingham are currently in Sky Bet League 1, where they finished 12th last season. They are managed by Justin Edinburgh, who took over the reins at Priestfield midway through last season.

We have played Gillingham exactly 100 times in our history, winning 47 of those games, drawing 23 and losing 30. However, our recent record against Gillingham is not so good. We were in the same division in both the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, in which we lost three of the four games played, drawing the other.

Six years ago we met Gillingham at this stage of the same competition, losing 2-1 away from home. Our last win over Gillingham came in 2004-05, in the Championship, where two late David Friio goals earned us a 2-1 victory.

An exact date for the fixture, along with ticket prices, will be announced in due course.

Do not forget that fixtures for the 2015-16 Sky Bet League 2 season will be announced here first at 9am on Wednesday, June 17.
