ARGYLE maintained their unbeaten start in the Merit League One with a fighting draw against local rivals Exeter.
A tough Exeter side battled hard from the very first minute and even shaded the first half exchanges at Harpers Park.
The young Grecians started well with Cameron Gill firing just wide, from the edge of the area, before Joe Charles burst clear only to be denied by a fine double save from Argyle 'keeper Cory Harvey.
Exeter continued to have the better of the first half exchanges but the second period was a different affair with Argyle doing most of the attacking.
City 'keeper Cavanagh Keadell had to save from Jason Vincent's header but he required two attempts to control Will Sargent's headed effort.
Keadell then made a fine double save from Argyle's Northern Ireland under-19 international Louis Rooney and in the dying moments Billy Palfrey sent a shooting chance wide of the post, from the edge of the area, before his cross-cum-shot was acrobatically turned over his bar by the City 'keeper.
Argyle: Cory Harvey, Mason Hughes, Owen Jones, Will Sargent, Tom Moxham, Billy Palfrey, Jack Calver (Jamil Roberts 70), Callum Hall, Ben Steer, Louis Rooney, Jason Vincent (Alex Fletcher 75). Substitute not used: Liam Knowles.
