Darren in Charge

DARREN Deadman is the referee who will be officiating Argyle’s 20th Sky Bet League 2 game of the season away to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Deadman started officiating in 2005 and generally takes charge of games in the Football League but has also taken charge of games in the FA Cup, Football League cup and Football League Trophy. Perhaps his most notable appointment so far was in May 2011 when he took charge of the League Two play-off final between Stevenage and Torquay United at Old Trafford where the Boro won 1-0.

Darren’s last officiated the Yeovil v Wycombe League 2 fixture on Tuesday, November 24th, issuing four yellow cards in a match that saw Wycombe beat the Glovers 1-0.

This season he has shown 45 yellow cards in 14 games, and got the red out on just on occasion. 

The last time Deadman refereed an Argyle match was November 20th when Argyle beat Lincoln City 5-0 in the FA Cup. Prior to that, he presided over draws with Ipswich and Bristol Rovers.
