Peninsula Preview - Argyle v Mousehole

ARGYLE welcome leaders Mousehole in the Peninsula League on Saturday and the sole ambition is to end the winning run of a very strong team at this level.

Mousehole have accumulated maximum points from the campaign so far but the Pilgrims are looking to bounce back from a narrow loss against Sticker, when a failure to take our chances proved costly.

“It’s another big challenge and one we’re looking forward to, but we expect to give Mousehole a challenge,” said Head Coach Kevin Nancekivell. “We’ve trained hard all week and we take the good things from last week’s performance into this game.

“I don’t know a great deal about Mousehole but their record this season tells us they are a very strong team in this League. They have won every game and we will treat them with the respect their League position deserves.

“It’s about how we perform and if we’re on our game, do the ugly side of things correctly, we won’t be too far away. I’ve watched the video from our game against Sticker and we dominated the second-half, but we have to take our chances.

“Our overall play in the second-half was very good and we look to create in the same fashion on Saturday, but this time put the ball in the back of the net.”
