Pilgrim Punting - Oxford v Argyle

ARGYLE go into their game at the Kassam Stadium against Oxford United as the league leaders in Sky Bet League 2...

...but not as favourites in Sky Bet's book. 

Oxford have lost just once this season - away at Northampton on September 12 - and have won four and drawn three of their seven home fixtures in all competitions. Argyle, though, are pretty formidable on the road. One draw, one defeat and five wins is the hefty haul from Derek Adams' side's travels this term. 

The hosts are 19/20 to win the match, with Argyle priced at 14/5. Nearly 3/1 on the leaders' winning a football match seems good value, but if you are a little more cautious, perhaps the draw, at 12/5, is more up your street. 

Last year, it was 0-0 when we went to Oxfordshire; given that we have conceded just three league goals on the road, and Oxford just three at home, the 9/1 on offer for a repeat might be worth your while. 

In Argyle's four league wins on the road, three have been by a score of 2-0. You can get a massive 18/1 on that happening again on Tuesday. 

That has to be worth a punt, right?
