Don Be A Stranger

ARGYLE meet AFC Wimbledon on Tuesday - for the third time this season!

This time, the Pilgrims meet the Dons at Home Park, in the first qualifying round of the Premier League Under-21 cup. It follows a league meeting between the two first-teams on the opening day of the season, and a first round tie in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, both of which saw Argyle emerge victorious.

The game will kick off at 2pm at Home Park, with tickets available for £4 and £2, for adults and concessions respectively.

Last year's tournament winners were Southampton, for whom former Argyle youth player Sam Gallagher scored the winning goal in the final. The previous season, in the competition's inaugural year, Reading won the cup, with Craig Tanner grabbing a goal in the first leg of the final on that occasion.

This will even not be the last meeting of Wimbledon and Argyle this season. We next meet the Wombles on October 2, in the Football League Youth Alliance Cup, at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, and will play Wimbledon's first team at Home Park in Sky Bet League 2 in April.

There is an FA Cup draw to come at some point, too...
