Nelson Yet to Peak
4th September 2015
ARGYLE manager Derek Adams believes that young Pilgrims captain Curtis Nelson will continue to improve with age.
Nelse plays his 200th match at Stevenage this Saturday, less than four months after his 22nd birthday, becoming the 67th of the 1,025 Pilgrims who have represented the club to make a double century of appearances in the Green.
Derek said: “He has played a lot of games, has got a lot of game-time and experience, for a young player. It is great for him to pick up that 200th appearance. He has been very good since I’ve been here.
“He now has to develop his game. He’s got all the attributes to be a top player but, at 22, you don’t know everything in the game. There are certain areas of the game that by experience, and learning from coaches and players, you improve on.”
