Tim in Charge

TIM Robinson will be the man in the middle...

...as Argyle face Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park for their Sky Bet League 2 meeting on Saturday.

The fixture will be the third in this division that Robinson has officiated this season. He has also taken charge of Championship, League 1, Capital One Cup and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy affairs – handing out 27 yellow cards and no red cards so far.

After a season refereeing fifth-tier football the season before last, the Sussex-born official switched to Football League games, and took charge of Argyle’s 2-0 win against York at Home Park in December, achieved thanks to a strike from Nick Chadwick and a Jamal Fyfield own goal.

Just a month later, Tim was back at the Theatre of Greens to oversee another Greens victory, sending off Morecambe’s Andy Parrish as strikes from Conor Hourihane and Paris Cowan-Hall secured a 2-1 win.

The three other Argyle games that Robinson has refereed all ended in a 1-1 draw, meaning the Pilgrims are yet to experience defeat in a match with him in charge. Stalemates with AFC Wimbledon, Southend United and, again, the Minstermen of York between February 2013-November 2014 have taken the Greens’ record with Tim in charge to two wins and three draws.
