Keith in Charge

KEITH Stroud will be the referee for Saturday's huge Devon Expressway Derby at St James Park.

A very experienced official, Keith's first league game came back in August 2004. It was not until the following season that he took charge of an Argyle fixture, being the man in the middle when Argyle beat Burnley 1-0 in September 2005. This was Taribo West's last league game for the Pilgrims - and the only one Argyle won. Keith booked five Argyle players on that occasion - Matthias Doumbe, Rufus Brevett, David Norris, Bojan Djordjic and Anthony Barness.

This will not be Keith's first Devon Derby. He was the referee when Argyle beat Torquay 2-0 at Home Park on New Year's Day, 2014. The Pilgrims' goals were scored by Lewis Alessandra and Caolan Lavery - and both players were booked, too.

This season, Keith was in charge when we played Northampton at Home Park and lost 2-1. He cautioned seven players, including Peter Hartley and Ryan Brunt for Argyle.

A Premier League qualified official, Keith has refereed 37 games this season, showing 164 yellow cards and 11 red cards.
