Peninsula Preview - Penzance and Ilogan

ARGYLE face two long trips in the space of three days as the Peninsula League season heads to its climax.

The Pilgrims travel to Penzance on Tuesday night. before a rescheduled fixture with Illogan RBL on Thursday, as the footballing education of Argyle's young players continues.

“It’s another long trip tonight and a challenge to the resources, but we’re used to that now,” said Head Coach Kevin Nancekivell. “It’s all part of being a footballer and we’ll prepare for both these games in the same way as normal.

“We’ve had a terrific reception from clubs we visit in the Peninsula League. They have been very welcoming and there is also a great deal of Argyle supporters in Cornwall, who like to come and watch.

“It’s great for the players to perform in front of crowds and important to their development when they are playing against home supporters, who are always very passionate about their local clubs.”
