Officially Mark

MARK Heywood will be the referee when Argyle travel to Notts County on Tuesday night.

Mark has been an EFL referee since 2011. His second professional game was at Home Park, when he was the man in the middle for our 1-0 home defeat against AFC Wimbledon.

Since then, he was taken charge of Argyle several times, including a 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers and a 3-3 draw at Cheltenham, in which Curtis Nelson was sent off, and was decided by a penalty shoot-out. He has also refereed two Accrington v Argyle matches: the first the Pilgrims won 4-0, the second - last season - was 2-1 to Accrington, with Kelvin Mellor getting a red card.

Last season, Mark refereed 27 matches, showing 91 yellow cards and seven reds. He has done three games this season thus far, with 10 cautions and one sending-off.
