ARGYLE manager Derek Adams has boosted his goalkeeping options by signing Scottish custodian Marc McCallum.
Forfar-born Marc, 23, is Derek’s 14th signing of the summer and comes to Home Park after a pre-season trial which saw him play the second half of the Pilgrims’ 6-0 win at Bovey Tracey.
He joins a goalkeeping roster which includes regular first-team stopper for the past three seasons Luke McCormick and Frenchman Vincent Dorel. The trio will work under goalkeeping coach Rhys Wilmot.
Marc, who has represented his country at Under-17 and Under19 levels, graduated to Dundee United via Lochside Boys Club and Aberdeen, signing as a pro in June 2009 and making his debut for the Terrors five years later. In between, he gained plenty of experience in a series of loans – to hometown Forfar Athletic, Peterhead and Berwick Rangers.
In 2014, after signing an extended contract at Tannadice, the 6ft 3in ’keeper, who will wear the number 25 shirt this season, was loaned out again, to Arbroath and Livingston, later signing for the latter permanently until the end of last season.
Welcome to Home Park, Marc.
