Rooney's Call

LOUIS Rooney has been called up by Northern Ireland Under-21s for the first time.
The Argyle forward, who scored twice in his only professional start to date, is from Torpoint, and qualifies for Northern Ireland through his Belfast-born father..
Louis' brother Dan, a second-year apprentice at Home Park, was last week called into the Northern Ireland under-19 squad, following in his elder brother's bootsteps.
Northern Ireland Under-21s will meet Iceland at Mourneview Park, Lurgan on Friday, September 2, before travelling to Macedonia, and playing their under-21s in the capital city of Skopje, on Tuesday, September 6. Both games are under-21 World Cup qualifying matches.
Louis will join up with the under-21s on August 30, making him unavailable for the Checkatrade Trophy fixture against Newport County at Home Park. He will also miss the Sky Bet League Two fixture against Cheltenham on September 3.
