Argyle Under 18s 2 Cheltenham 0

ARGYLE secured an efficient 2-0 win over Cheltenham Town in the Youth Alliance on Tuesday afternoon, thanks to a brace from Alex Battle.

After recently defeating the Robins in the FA Youth Cup, a performance Academy Manager Kevin Hodges described as "the best of the season", this display did not quite reach those heights but still a strong victory.
 
The Pilgrims still dominated for long periods and created numerous chances, but there was a mild sense of frustration that these were not converted in the first period.
 
Perseverance paid off after the break, as Battle opened the scoring and Argyle went on to win fairly comfortable with a second from the same man.
