Club Statement

WE sincerely apologise that the Boxing Day match-day experience fell short of the expectations of many of our supporters, and, indeed, of our own expectations.

The demand on Monday for thousands of tickets for our Emirates FA Cup tie at Liverpool on January 8 was higher than predicted and this, combined with the high demand for Sky Bet League Two game against Wycombe, stretched our resources to their limit. On reflection, we should have focused solely on the Wycombe match on Monday but our ambition was to avoid our Members having to make an additional journey to Home Park. 

The interests of the Green Army are at the forefront of our thoughts at all times and, notwithstanding Monday’s unique and testing set of circumstances, and a huge Bank Holiday crowd, there are clearly a number of areas that need to be improved and we will implement revised procedures. 
We promise supporters that we have already learned from Monday's events, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
