22nd February 2016
WE are very pleased to announce that another two of our promising Under-16s squad have recently confirmed their acceptance of an apprenticeship with us for the 2016-17 season
They are: Billy Craske, a wide-right player/striker, originally from Cornwall; and Ryan Law, a left-back from Kingsteignton.
Billy attended St Minver Primary School and Wadebridge Secondary School. He played for Wadebridge Town and began his football journey attending the Bodmin Development Centre under the guidance of Chris Souness before joining the Academy as an 11-year-old in May 2011. He and his family then moved to Ivybridge; he attends Ivybridge Community College.
Billy has represented Plymouth Schoolboys at Under-14 and Under-15 levels. He was a member of the 2013-14 Milk Cup squad that reached the semi-finals against the Corinthians, and has played for the Under-18s in this season’s successful South West Youth Alliance campaign, coming off the bench on a number of occasions to make a favourable impression. He has also played for the Peninsula team this season.
Ryan was scouted by Recruitment Officer John James, playing for his local side Chelston Juniors FC as an eight-year-old, and he joined our Academy as an Under-9 in September 2008 .
He attends Teign School in Kingsteighton and has represented Torbay Schools at Under-14 and Under-15 level. Ryan played a number of games for the 2013-4 Milk Cup squad and has made three appearances for the Under-18s in this season’s successful South West Youth Alliance campaign. He, too, has also played a number of Peninsula League games this season.
