Final Word

ALEX Fletcher secured Argyle a draw...

...as the Pilgrims completed this season's Final Third Development League campaign at Bristol Rovers.

Fletcher netted a second-half equaliser at the Pirates' Lawn training ground to level the game at 1-1 after Argyle had trailed at the interval.

The match saw on-loan Hibernian defender Jordon Forster make his Argyle debut against former Pilgrim Rory Fallon, while midfielder Graham Carey continued his rehabilitation after injury.

"They got 65 minutes each and came through well in difficult conditions - it was windy and the pitch was heavy, " said Argyle assistant-manager Craig Brewster.

Craig also paid tribute to James Bittner, who kept goal on his 34th birthday. "He did very well," said Craig. "He made a couple of very good saves."

Meanwhile, an Argyle Under-17s side traveled to Southampton and came away with a 1-0 win, thanks to a goal from Alex Battle.
