Peter in Charge

PETER Bankes will be the referee in charge as Argyle visit Crawley Town on Saturday.
He has officiated two Argyle matches in his refereeing career. The first was a 1-1 draw against Mansfield Town at Home Park – the first league game of Peter’s career, and the second was the 3-2 defeat to Wycombe Wanderers in last season’s play-off semi-final.
Bankes has taken control of 27 games this season. These games come from various competitions and leagues which include Sky Bet Championship, League 1, League 2, Capital One Cup and the Emirates FA Cup.
Peter has shown 103 yellow cards in all competitions this season, and two red cards. The most recent was last Saturday, when he sent of Morecambe’s Shaun Miller in the Shrimps’ 4-2 defeat at home to Oxford United.
