Pilgrim Punting - Crawley v Argyle
19th February 2016
WHEN Argyle go head to head with Crawley on Saturday, it will be the fourth ever time that the two teams have met, with both sides currently only able to boast a win and a draw each.
Argyle are currently second in the league and are 5/6 to beat 16th placed Crawley, who are out of form and priced at 100/30. Argyle have drawn just five times this season, and Crawley have only picked up a single point on four occasions; however the odds for a draw are 5/2.
For Argyle to put in a repeat performance from last weekend against Mansfield and come out 3-0 winners, you can get odds of 12/1. If you fancy the Pilgrims to repeat the scoreline they beat the Red Devils by earlier in the season, then you can get odds of 15/2 for a 2-1 Argyle victory.
Argyle and Portsmouth share the best defensive record in Sky Bet League 2, having both only conceded 26 goals each. The victory over Mansfield was Argyle's first clean sheet in four, and for Crawley not to score the odds are 5/4, and the Pilgrims are 2/1 to win without the Red Devils scoring.
After his brace last week, Ryan Brunt has joined Jake Jervis and Reuben Reid on odds of 2/1 to score anytime, with Reuben, who scored against Crawley in a 2-1 victory back in October, 11/1 for a brace, and Jake and Ryan 14/1 to hit the net twice. Gregg Wylde has hit the net six times this season, and has set his sights on finishing on double figures. Gregg scored last week and is 5/2 to add another to his tally against Crawley.
That's worth a punt, surely?
