Reasons to be Cheerful - Argyle v Notts County
27th February 2016
BEFORE Argyle take on Notts County at Home Park, we look at our reasons to be optimistic about the upcoming game...
Same Again, Please
Argyle have already beaten County this season, back in October. The Pilgrims came out 2-0 victors, thanks to a Reuben Reid brace. It was the first meeting between the two sides since 2010, and it took Reuben just 20 minutes to put Argyle ahead before he sealed the victory four minutes from time.
Derby Days
37 years ago to the date that Argyle will play Notts County, another Argyle team beat rivals Exeter City 4-2 at Home Park. Goals from Fred Binney, Brian Bason, Brian Johnson and Keith Fear meant that the Pilgrims had the bragging rights of Devon.
Cleanest Sheets
Despite Derek Adams' focus on attacking, Argyle's defence have conceded the fewest number of goals in League 2. The Pilgrims have only conceded three goals in their last five games, and only 27 goals in 32 games. Luke McCormick has managed 11 clean sheets for Argyle this season.
