Adams' Army Adulation
4th January 2016
ARGYLE manager Derek Adams and the Green Army enjoyed their away day at Ewood Park, where Argyle beat temporarily homeless Carlisle United 2-0.
More than 800 Green army foot soldiers made the 600-mile round-trip to see Ryan Brunt’s two goals maintain the Pilgrims’ lead of Sky Bet League 2.
“We have got the best fans in the division, by a mile, because of the amount of travelling they have to do for a lot of games,” said former Ross County manager Derek. “You look, after the game, the amount of jubilation that they had.
“For myself, it’s [like] going back to the Premier League in Scotland, where we go to 60,000-seater stadiums every other week. It was nice to see all the staff here – they have been very helpful to both Carlisle and ourselves. I’ll be happy to come back here when we can.”
