Oliver in Charge
21st January 2016
OLIVER Langford is the referee for Argyle's fixture on Saturday away to Bristol Rovers.
Langford, West Midlands, is in his ninth season of officiating and has refereed 24 games so far this season ranging from Championship games down to League 2, as well as the Capital One Cup, the Emirates FA Cup and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
The last game Oliver refereed for the Pilgrims was our 4-1 home win over Carlisle on August 18, which saw him produce only one yellow card. Langford has dished out two red cards to Argyle players during his time officiating our matches - Reda Johnson in the dying moments of a famous 3-2 win at Swindon in September 2010, and Chris Clark against Colchester, later that same season, in a game we went on to win 2-1.
This season, Oliver has shown 53 yellow cards in 24 games, and has shown two reds. He has not issued any cautions in his last two games - although he did sent off Huddersfield's Jonathon Hogg in his last outing.
