Apprenticeships Accepted

WE are very pleased to announce that Harry Hodges and Harry Downing have confirmed their acceptance of apprenticeships with us for the 2016-17 season.
Harry Hodges attended Manadon Vale Primary School and began his football journey when he attended Dave Smith’s Soccer School prior to joining Tamarside Kings Football Club. Harry attends Ivybridge Community College and has represented Plymouth Schoolboys at all age groups. He registered with the Academy in 2009 as an Under-10 after attending the Plymouth Development Centre at Stoke Damerel. Harry is comfortable when in possession of the ball and looks to break forward to support the attack. He has made four appearances for the Under-18s as a substitute this season and made his debut for the Peninsula League side against Porthleven, when he provided a whipped cross for Deane Smalley to score the winning goal.
Harry Downing is a a centre-back from Newquay, He attends Tretherras School and started his career playing for Torquay United Under-11s and Under-12s. He also played for Newquay AFC and was introduced to our Brannel Centre of Excellence where he made a favourable impression with his desire to defend. He registered with the Academy in September 2012 as an Under-13 and played most of the games in the team that reached the semi-final of the Northern Ireland Milk Cup in 2013-14. Harry made his debut for the Under-18s with a resolute performance at Oxford United, helping the team keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory.
