Mark in Charge
12th March 2016
MARK Heywood will the referee for Argyle's trip to Accrington on Saturday.
His last appointment involving Argyle was a busy one - Mark was the official for the 3-3 draw with Cheltenham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in September 2013, in which Curtis Nelson was sent off, and Argyle eventually won on a penalty shoot out. Rommy Boco - now an Accrington player - scored for Argyle that night, as did Lewis Alessandra and Hamza Bencherif, on his debut.Prior to that, Mark took charge of Argyle's 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers, which was Carl Fletcher's last as Pilgrims boss.
This season Mark has refereed 19 games, showing 59 yellow cards and sending off three players - curiously, all straight reds.
