Officially Nigel
11th November 2016
NIGEL Miller will be the referee when Argyle visit Crewe on Saturday.
Experienced official Nigel has presided over 13 previous Argyle matches, the first coming in 2003-04, with a 0-0 draw at Notts County. Luke McCormick saved a penalty that day, as Argyle got a point at Meadow Lane in their first game after Paul Sturrock's departure.
Nigel was also the official when Argyle lost the second leg of the 2014-15 play-off semi-finals at Wycombe. Argyle's record with Miller in charge is five wins, three draws and five defeats.
Earlier this season, Nigel was the referee when Argyle won 1-0 at Blackpool, in a game in which he sent off the Tangerine's Jack Payne.
Miller has only shown 25 yellow cards in 14 games, but has sent off four players.
