Peninsula Report - Argyle 6 Launceston 0

PLYMOUTH Argyle produced a scintillating performance to sweep past Launceston in the Friday night fixture at Coach Road.

Alex Battle started the fun on just eight minutes, as the Pilgrims displayed no hangover from the midweek defeat on penalties to Gillingham in the FA Youth Cup.

Launceston could not handle the fluent football from their hosts and a Luke Jephcott brace made it 3-0 at half-time. It was the same story after the break, as Jephcott completed his hat-trick amid a Green siege on the visiting goal.

Billy Craske and Ben Steer also netted in a dominant win that keeps Argyle right in the title hunt.
