Ilminster Town 0 Argyle Ladies 4

ARGYLE Ladies continued their impressive recent form when they comfortably saw off Ilminster Town to progress to the fourth qualifying round of the Women's FA Cup.

Argyle made the breakthrough on 24 minutes when a ball into the box from captain Kate Middleton was deflected past the helpless Ilminster goalkeeper by a defender for an own goal.

This goal seem to settle Argyle, who added two more goals in quick succession. First, Dani Barr atoned for an earlier miss with a neat finish in the penalty area. Then the goal of the game was scored by Darcey Hepworth. The marauding teenage left-back picked the ball up on the left hand side and hit a great 20-yard shot that flew into the net past the helpless Ilminster goal keeper.

The score quickly became 4-0 when, in the 41st minute, a great first-time team passing move down the right ended at the feet of in-form striker Natasha Knapman whose shot from the edge of the area crept under the goalkeeper's outstretched hand and into the net.

Instead of wrapping up the game with a second half goal fest Argyle somehow managed to squander numerous chances to increase the lead although to be fair to Ilminster their dogged defence kept the scoreline respectable.
