Helston Fire
20th September 2016
A STRONG Argyle side made the long trip to the Lizard worth it as they overcame Helston 5-1 in their Carlsberg South West Peninsula League Premier Division match.
David Goodwillie scored twice at Kellaway Parc, either side of half-time, after Jimmy Spencer's opener had been cancelled out by Mattie Buchan.Further second-half goals from Ryan Donaldson and Ben Steer completed the win for Argyle, who fielded eight players with first-team experience this season.
Also starting was centre-back Karleigh Osborne, who is on his way back from a thigh injury that has precluded his participation in the Pilgrims' Sky Bet League Two campaign so far.
